As a legal expert, Professor Francisco Marino provides legal opinions on Private Law, mostly regarding matters of General Theory of Private Law, Contract Law and Tort Law. Based on his academic experience as a Law Professor at the University of São Paulo and on twenty years of former practice as an attorney at law – many of which as a partner at one of the main dispute resolution law firms in Brazil –, Professor Marino delivers a thorough and accurate assessment, embracing case details and all the relevant legal issues. Legal opinions are commonly presented in both court and arbitration cases, but may also provide guidance to case strategy analysis in a pre-litigation scenario. Likewise, Professor Marino holds experience as expert witness in domestic and international disputes.
Professor Francisco Marino serves as arbitrator in commercial disputes, both domestic and international. He is part of the list of arbitrators of the most relevant Brazilian arbitration institutions, such as the Center for Arbitration and Mediation of the Chamber of Commerce Brazil-Canada (CAM-CCBC), the Chamber for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration CIESP/FIESP (CMA), the Brazilian Center for Mediation and Arbitration (CBMA), the Chamber for Arbitration of Federasul (CAF) and the Chamber for Mediation and Arbitration of the Commercial Association of Paraná (Arbitac). He also holds experience as arbitrator and emergency arbitrator in proceedings conducted under the auspices of the Rules of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
